Termite tenting cost estimator
Enter the size and shape of the house to see the typical fumigation range we see in Long Beach. The inspection sets the actual price.
Typical tenting range
$1,435 to $2,420
One-story composition shingle house of about 1,400 square feet.
A typical range, not a quote. Tile roofs, steep pitches, tight lots and extra structures change the job.
What the estimate is based on
Fumigation is priced on the volume of air under the tarps and the work it takes to seal them. Square footage and the number of stories set the volume. Clay and concrete tile roofs take longer to cover and protect, and a detached garage or back unit is tented on its own.
The ranges come from the same typical numbers on our termite fumigation page. What they cannot see is your lot: a house built close to its neighbors, a steep hillside, large trees against the walls or an addition with a different roofline all add time. That is why the number on the inspection report is the one that counts.
What is not in the range
Repairs to wood the termites already damaged, gas shut-off and relight fees from the gas company, and hotel costs while the house is tented are separate. If the inspection finds activity in only one or two places, a local treatment may cost far less than tenting.
Getting ready? The fumigation prep checklist walks through every step, and the termite fumigation page explains the process.
