How the dates are worked out
The planner counts back from your closing date. The inspection should happen early enough that buyer and seller have time to read the report and agree who pays for Section 1 items. Tenting needs scheduling time, about two to three days under the tarps and a clearance test before anyone moves back in. Wood repairs come after treatment, and the completion paperwork has to reach escrow before the closing date.
These are planning dates, not promises. A busy season, a large house or extra damage behind a wall can change them, so call as soon as you are in escrow and we will confirm what is realistic for your property.
More detail is on the real estate termite inspection page and in the guide to Section 1 and Section 2 on a termite report.
